Message from the Secretary General of IFMST on Strategic Cooperation with the United Countries Sports Management Council (UCSMC)
I am pleased to announce that the International Federation of Municipalities’ Sports & Tourism (IFMST) and the United Countries Sports Management Council (UCSMC) are moving toward the establishment of a strategic and long-term international partnership.
This cooperation has been initiated with the aim of developing scientific, educational, managerial, and executive collaboration in the fields of sport and sustainable development. It can create new opportunities for researchers, universities, sports organizations, municipalities, sports managers, and professionals at the international level.
In this regard, the two organizations have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future. This MoU will provide a framework for developing joint programs in areas including scientific research, international conferences and events, educational and professional programs, exchange of knowledge and experience, sports tourism, innovation, technology and artificial intelligence in sports management, and other areas of mutual interest.
Cooperation with UCSMC is of particular importance to IFMST, as we believe that the development of sport in today’s world cannot be achieved solely through sporting competitions. It requires the creation of scientific and managerial networks, cooperation among countries and institutions, knowledge transfer, and the utilization of innovation and technology.
The participation of UCSMC as an International Scientific Partner of the Second International Conference on Citizenship, Sport and Sustainable Development is also an important milestone in the beginning of this cooperation and demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to expanding scientific and international relations.
At IFMST, we warmly welcome this partnership and hope that the signing of the MoU between the two organizations will mark the beginning of a series of effective joint projects and programs at the international level.
I firmly believe that by combining the capacities of IFMST and UCSMC, we can take meaningful steps toward the development of citizenship sport, the promotion of community health and well-being, sustainable urban development, and the strengthening of international cooperation through sport.
