IFMST Secretary General Announces Upcoming Cooperation Agreement with Minifootball Five International Federation (MFIF)Dr.Forouhu The Secretary General of the International Federation of Municipalities’ Sports and Tourism (IFMST) announced that preparations have been finalized for the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Minifootball Five International Federation (MFIF), aimed at promoting five-a-side football at the international level.
Referring to the growing popularity of five-a-side football among citizens and municipal employees around the world, the Secretary General stated:
“Five-a-side football has become one of the most popular sports due to its accessibility, low cost, ability to be played in urban environments, and its significant contribution to improving public health and social well-being.”
He added that, based on the agreements reached, IFMST and MFIF will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster the development of five-a-side football through the organization of international competitions and joint events, exchange of expertise, implementation of educational programs, and the strengthening of sports diplomacy among cities worldwide.
The Secretary General expressed confidence that this partnership will mark the beginning of a new era of international cooperation, contributing to the expansion of municipal sports, increased citizen participation, and the global development of five-a-side football.
