Elderly Sports Committee (IESC)

“Embrace the joy of active aging!”

The Elderly Sports Committee (IESC) is dedicated to promoting and encouraging sports and physical activity for the elderly. Here is the (IESC) vision, mission and goals:

Creating a healthier and more active senior population through exercise and physical activity.

To provide opportunities and resources for the elderly to participate in sports and physical activity, strengthening their physical, mental and social health.

  1. Increase participation: Encourage more seniors to participate in sports and physical activity by organizing events, providing information and providing support.
  2. Increasing access: improving access to sports facilities, equipment and programs for seniors of all abilities and backgrounds.
  3. Health and wellness promotion: increasing awareness of the benefits of regular physical activity among the elderly and supporting healthy aging.
  4. Strengthening social connections: creating a sense of community and camaraderie among the elderly through sports leagues, clubs and group activities.
  5. Provide Education: Provide workshops, seminars, and training sessions to educate seniors about fitness, injury prevention, and other related topics.
  6. Partner with stakeholders: Work with local organizations, government agencies and health care providers to develop partnerships and initiatives that support exercise and physical activity for older adults.
  7. Conducting research: to better understand the benefits of exercise and its impact on the well-being of older individuals. By conducting research, IESC aims to gather valuable insights and data that can be used to develop effective strategies and programs to promote active lifestyles among the elderly population.

By establishing this committee, under the auspices of IFMST, we seek to empower the elderly to lead an active lifestyle, improve their overall quality of life, and promote healthy aging in society.
