According to the Public Relations Office of the International Federation of Municipalities’ Sports and Tourism (IFMST), the World Street Football Cup is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2026.
This major international event aims to promote urban sports, encourage social vitality, and strengthen cultural interaction among nations.
Dr. Forouhi, Secretary General of IFMST, announced:
“The World Street Football Cup is one of IFMST’s most significant global initiatives in the field of urban sports. This tournament will provide a platform for young people from around the world to come together through competition, friendship, and mutual respect.”
Currently, Turkey, Oman, and Thailand have been introduced as candidate countries to host this global event, and the final evaluation process to select the official host is underway.
According to the Federation, further details — including the exact dates, host country, competition regulations, and team registration procedures — will soon be published through the official website www.ifmst.org and IFMST’s social media platforms.
Dr. Forouhi added:
“We believe that the streets can become a global stage for unity and friendship among nations. The 2026 World Street Football Cup will stand as a symbol of connection, energy, and creativity among citizens of the world.”
